AgNition Privacy Policy

AgNition Inc. (“AgNition”) recognizes that its customers, visitors and users, want to know what happens with the important information generated when using our website or propriety products. AgNition provides this Privacy Policy to help you make an informed decision about whether to use or continue using our products and services. If you do not agree to our practices, please do not use the AgNition website, blog, or our various proprietary products.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and is subject to Terms of Service of any of our proprietary products. Your use of these products and any personal information you provide on them remains subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the associated Terms of Service.

What Does This Privacy Policy Cover?

This Privacy Policy is part of AgNition’s Terms of Service and covers the treatment of user information, including personally identifying information, obtained by AgNition, including information obtained when you access one of our product’s sites or use any other software provided by AgNition.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that AgNition does not own or control, or to individuals whom AgNition does not employ or manage, including any of the third parties to which AgNition may disclose user information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

AgNition’s Commitment to Online Privacy

Your right to privacy is important. At AgNition, we believe that personal information you choose to furnish online should only be used to help us provide you with the highest quality of products, services and support. We display this Privacy Statement to make you aware of the information practices for our products and services, including what type of information is gathered and tracked, how the information is used, and with whom the information is shared. We may update our Privacy Statement from time to time to stay current with changes in our business and to better serve you. We encourage you to visit this page frequently to inform yourself of any changes.

Consent to Use and Transfer Personal Data

By submitting your personal data through the use of any of our websites or products, you consent to AgNition’s collection, use, storage and transfer of your personal data to our company databases and other repositories, wherever located, for the purposes for which it is submitted and in accordance with the policies set forth in this Privacy Statement.

Types of Data Collected Online

There are many areas of the AgNition websites that may be accessed without logging in with a personal account. Only general, non-personally identifiable information that AgNition logs from all site visits, such as the Internet service provider, operating system/browser type, and pages accessed, may be collected in those instances. This means that a user’s session may be tracked, but the user will not be individually identified, nor will that information ever be sold. We only use that information to see the type of traffic our website is receiving and improve our content and efficiency. When registering for an account you may be asked for your name, email address, mailing address and/or phone number. This information will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent.

Activity data is generated over the course of using our sites and services. This includes all the information that you enter into our proprietary apps and/or websites. This data is collected and stored and associated with your account only to provide you access to our services. This data will never be sold, shared, exchanged, or transferred to a third party without your consent. If however you chose to share your account with other individuals we are not responsible for how data is shared by those individuals.

The Information AgNition Collects

We may obtain the following types of information from or concerning you or your electronic device, which may include information that can be used to identify you as specified below (“Personally Identifying Information”):

User Provided Information:

You provide certain Personally Identifiable Information, such as your name, username, company name (if applicable), billing information (if applicable) and tablet device information to AgNition when choosing to participate in various uses of our products and services, such as registering as a user.

Cookies Information

When you visit some of our sites, we may send one or more cookies – a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters – to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. AgNition uses both session cookies and persistent cookies. A persistent cookie remains after you close your browser. Persistent cookies may be used by your browser on subsequent visits to the site. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your web browser help file directions. A session cookie is temporary and disappears after you close your browser. You can reset your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some of our products or services may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.

Log File Information

When you use our sites and services, our servers automatically record certain information that your web browser sends whenever you visit any website. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser language, referring / exit pages and URLs, platform type, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the date and time of your request, one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser, your phone number, phone number you are requesting the status of and various status information. When you use our products and services, our servers log certain general information that our application sends whenever data is synced between our app and data server, including time and date stamps and the tablet device identification information that were sent from and to.

Use of Data

In the ordinary course of business, AgNition will not sell, trade or rent your individual identifying information to others unless you have consented to do so.

AgNition may use the information you provide to notify you later about new developments with respect to the products and services you have purchased or to inform you about new products, special offers and services offered by the company

Personal Information is or may be used: (i) to provide and improve our Service, (ii) to administer your use of the Service, (iii) to better understand your needs and interests, (iv) to personalize and improve your experience, and (v) to provide or offer software updates and product announcements. If you no longer wish to receive communications from us, depending on the product or service you are using, please contact us at support@scoutdoc.com or admin@agnition.ca to unsubscribe to such updates, with the word “unsubscribe” and the product included in the subject or body of the email.

Analytics

AgNition may also collect some information (ourselves or using third party services) using logging and cookies, such as IP address, which can sometimes be correlated with Personal Information. Along with third-party vendors such as Google, we use first-party cookies (such as Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies or other third-party identifiers together to compile data regarding user interactions with our sites and services. We use this information for the above purposes and to monitor and analyze use of the Service, for the Service’s technical administration, to increase our Service’s functionality and user-friendliness, and to verify users have the authorization needed for the Service to process their requests. Google Opt Out:

Users can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Settings page. Alternatively, you can opt out by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative Opt Out page or by using the Google Analytics Opt Out Browser add on.

Non-private and non-personal information

AgNition may occasionally use non-identifiable non-personal information such a usage statistics, non-identifiable activity data with trusted third parties in an effort to better tailor our products, services, and advertisements to our users. Non-identifiable activity data may be analyzed for statistical information to better understand and improve our services.

Security of your Personal Information

AgNition secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. AgNition secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other Web sites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

The Way AgNition Uses Information

If you submit Personally Identifiable Information to us through any of our software and service offerings, then we use your personal information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the software or service. In particular, your tablet device information is essential to using most of our product offerings and will be retained. Any billing information that may be collected from you will be deleted thirty (30) days after the termination of your account.

Your username may be displayed to other users within your organization.

We do not use your email address information or other Personally Identifiable Information to send commercial or marketing messages without your consent or except as part of a specific program or feature for which you will have the ability to opt-in or opt-out.

We may use your email address without further consent for non-marketing or administrative purposes (such as notifying you of major changes or for customer service purposes). We may use both your Personally Identifiable Information and certain non-personally-identifiable information (such as anonymous user usage data, cookies, IP addresses, browser type, clickstream data, etc.) to improve the quality and design of our products and services, or to create new features, promotions, functionality, or services by storing, tracking, and analyzing user preferences and trends. We may use cookies and log file information to: (a) remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you use the product or service; (b) provide custom, personalized content and information; (c) monitor individual and aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, pages viewed, etc.; and (d) track your entries, submissions, views and such.

When AgNition Discloses Information

We do not sell or share your Personally Identifiable Information (such as your email address) with other third-party companies for their commercial or marketing use without your consent or except as part of a specific program or feature for which you will have the ability to opt-in or opt-out. We may share your Personally Identifiable Information with third party service providers to the extent that it is reasonably necessary to perform, improve or maintain our software or service. We may share non-personally-identifiable information (such as anonymous User usage data, referring / exit pages and URLs, platform types, asset views, number of clicks, etc.) with relevant third-parties to assist us in understanding the usage patterns for certain content, services, advertisements, promotions, and/or functionality within our software and services. We may collect and release Personally Identifiable Information and/or non-personally-identifiable information if required to do so by law, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with state and federal laws (such as Canadian Copyright Law), international law or respond to a court order or search warrant or equivalent, or where in our reasonable belief, an individual’s physical safety may be at risk or threatened. AgNition also reserves the right to disclose Personally Identifiable Information and/or non-personally-identifiable information that AgNition believes, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, take precautions against liability, to investigate and defend itself against any third-party claims or allegations, to assist government enforcement agencies, to protect the security or integrity of our products or our servers, and to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of our users or others.

Your Choices

You may, of course, decline to submit Personally Identifiable Information through our products or services, in which case AgNition may not be able to provide certain services to you. If you do not agree with our Privacy Policy or Terms of Service, please delete your account, uninstall any apps and discontinue use of the product or service; your continued usage of the product or service will signify your assent to and acceptance of our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps (such as tablet authentication in certain cases) to verify your identity before registering your account and granting you access to our products or services. Third-party Advertisers, Links to Other Sites

We don’t like ads. Our products and services are currently ad-free and we hope to keep it that way forever. We have no intention to introduce advertisement into the product, but if we ever do, will update this section.

Our Commitment To Data Security

AgNition uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your personal information. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit between the device applications and our cloud servers and you do so at your own risk. Using unsecured wifi or other unprotected networks to submit messages through our products and services is never recommended. Once we receive your transmission of information, AgNition makes commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the security of our systems. However, please note that this is not a guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. If AgNition learns of a security systems breach, then we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. AgNition may post a notice on our sites or social media accounts or through our products and services if a security breach occurs.
